Hi Michelle, Welcome to MapInfo-world! There is a very simple solution to your problem:
Using the label functions tool (see your owner's manual to load the tool if it doesn't appear in the tools menu) select 'transfer current labels.' Do this at the scale at which you want to print and every label on the screen will turn into a text object. In the future, you can use the text label tool (found on the tools button pad, it looks like a pen writing a line) to label your polygons with text objects. Good luck!
