Hello List Thought I'd post this in case anyone's experienced the same behaviour.
I'm running XP. I have MapInfo Pro 6.5 and 7.0 installed. Using MapBasic 5.0, writing the simplest of utilities (and complex ones, for that matter), after three or four quick and successful compilations, hitting CTRL+K results in MapBasic locking up. Task Manager says nothing suspicious (apart from the fact that there are two entries for MapBasic at this point). And I wait. Maybe five minutes or so later the compilation completes successfully and I can continue my work. I've experienced the same with MapBasic 6.5 and 7.0 - the only one "approved" for XP according to MI support. In the end I used a Windows 2000 machine... So, any ideas as to why MapBasic "zones out" like this? Has anyone experienced the same?
