My original question:-

'The zip file download for the GUI Plus utility (by Spatial Plus) contains a
ZL9 file - anybody know what to do with it?'

Thanks to John Williams, Mark Neuhaus, and Peter Meier (writer of GUI Plus),
and Jacques Paris for their help.

Peter pointed me to another (temporary) download source for the utility
(v3.1.0) which was an exe file, so I've used this one and sidestepped the
issue of the ZL9 fie. Peter also said that v3.1.0 was the latest version (so
I'm not sure how a v3.1.1 came to be on Jacques' site) and that Spatial Plus
only ever made exe files for download (so how a ZL9 appeared is another
mystery).

As for the ZL9 file itself, John thought that it was a file trapped by Zone
Alarms firewall software. According to Mark, renaming it to an exe and
double-clicking should launch the installer. Being a cautious soul, I wasn't
prepared to try this.

Regards,

Keith
