Hi,

I have 2 tables - one with points ( which are mapped) and one with city boundaries
(table also contains point names, but the points are not mapped - the boundaries are
mapped).

Certain city boundaries can be grouped to form regional boundaries. I need to group
certain city boundaries (only some, not all) in which a point is located. Thus, I
joined the two tables (points and city boundaries) and tried to group objects by
column (the column containing the regional boundary).

However, this doesn't work as I get an error msg saying I cannot combine Linear and
Closed Objects. In the joined table, I already deleted the fields contained in the
points table, and it still doesn't work.

Does anyone know how I could resolve this problem?

Thank you for your time,
Wendy
