Your problem is probably to do with string evaluation - usually a missing
quote mark - try the statement interactively in the MapBasic window in MI
Pro. and check that the PATH parameter is being correctly assembled - or halt
your code and put the PATH parameter up on screen with a NOTE statement.

Subject: MI-L Server Fetch Statement

I am having problems with a Server Fetch Into statement in MapBasic v6.5 and
am looking for guidance.

I can connect to our external database (Oracle) fine and can fetch the data
from a oracle table using a SQL statement into a new table with a table name
I specify. This table is created within an Microsoft Office directory on my
c:\ drive with the name I specify.

I would prefer this table to be created in one of my MapInfo data
directories. I have added File and then the file path to the end of my Server
Fetch statement but while this creates the table files in the directory I
specify it does not give the files a name.

If anyone has encountered this problem and can advise on how to resolve it
I'd appreciate their help,

Thanks in advance,

John
