Andrew, there is an avenue script on the esri website called tif2tfw or similar, which will create a world file (raster registration file). If you don't have arc v3.x you may have to do it manually, which can be a bit tedious. You will have to calculate the cell size and upper-left registration coordinate. Have fun yours,
