Hi, all !!! I'm adjusting an Access database, but doing most of the table work in MapInfo. I have two tables. One has CoStar addresses (40 character column) and a unique ID for each address name. The second has different IDs and buildings with addresses (40 character column) that are usually identical to CoStar, but occasionally they're different (e.g. Conn instead of Connecticut, 815 Fairfax instead of 815-817 N Fairfax). I found as many as I could and replaced them with CoStar addresses, but there are 3,500 buildings, and I don't want to spend too much time on it.
What I want to be able to do is to identify all objects (funky addresses) in the the second table that aren't objects (CoStar addresses) in the first table. That way I can change the funky ones to fit their CoStar counterparts. The problem is that the tables aren't geocoded and can't be.
Have any ideas on the query to do this in MapInfo or Access? Also, how long should a query like that take?
