MI-L Record Limit

I have MI 6.0 and am trying to save a copy of an XLS file I opened in MI, 
but the XLS file has 56,012 records.  The status bar flies up to 50% and 
then it just stalls.  I waited about 20 minutes, but still it was at 50%.  
Should I wait longer or am I over a record limit?
