Hi all,

I have a live DBMS connection to a MS Access database that is
unreasonably slow to the point of being unusable. For example the
browser window opens one record at a time and takes over 1 second per
record... Whilst any live table is opening, or if I move through
records in a browser window, there is also a tremendous amount of hard
disc activity on my computer, but no increase in other resource usage.

The same DBMS connection (file DSN) is fine on my colleague's computer
with exactly the same software setup as me.

I have MI v 7.5, Win2k and Access2002 on a dual processor 2.4GHz Pentium
with 1Gb ram. The database is stored on our office server and we have a
100Mbps network. I have tested my network connection, reinstalled
MapInfo and reinstalled the DBMS support which hasn't solved anything.

Any suggestions?
