I received some great help the last time I wrote to this list so I am going to the well one more time.
Heres my question....
Heres what I have done. I have saved a copy of a world Tab file which was originally in latlong/degree format.
When I saved the copy of the file out I did so with a regional conformal projection specifying the output coord units in miles.
When I view the file in a text editior available through FME it says the datum name is "MAPINFO" Does this mean the resultant file does not have any datum at all or does Mapinfo automatically assign a default datum based on different selected projections.?
Thanks for any advice some of you may be able to offer.
