Compass This program dose basically what you want and more. As you catalogue you files, compass stores the metadata and bounding coords of each dataset (orthophoto) Then when in MapInfo you can do a spatial search. It takes the coords of the mapwindow and compares it with the catalogued files. It then displays the datasets that overlap or are entirely within (your choice) your mapwindow. Then simply select the file(s) you want and compass will open them for you. You can get a demo from http:/www.meridian-gps.com.au Give it a go.
