Hello Folks,
I am currently working on a project using AGD84 projection. I download
Mining Lease Boundaries data from the mines department website in 94
projection (no other choice of projection is available). If I open a
heap of files in 84 (eg Drillhole collars, soil samples, mineralogy
samples etc) and then open the mining leases, does Mapinfo recognise
that the projection is different and correct the mining lease table to
its true position in 84, or is it 200m or so out of its true position??
I'm quite sure that the projection is corrected, and that the tables are
all in their true positions, however my boss is always doubtful and so I
am looking for a definative answer from an independant third party.
Oh, a van just went past my window with "Discrete Hygene Services"
across the sides in big letters- not very discrete. It is that sort of
day.
