Hi Richard,

You can set a custom size by selecting Postscript Custom Page Size under the
advanced button in v5.0. Your older method will work better, however, if
you are using any kind of shaded or transparent fills. If not, try these
conversion settings. This file must be installed in C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Distillr\Settings to work.

If anyone else in MapInfo Land would like the file please feel free to email
me directly.

Hope this helps,

Subject: MI-L Printing Layouts as PDFs

Hello Folks,

I'm having no success printing layouts as PDFs. They come out blank (as
if the PDF writer has run out of PDF ink!). Online help isn't much help
as it refers to Adobe V6, and I am using V5. Also the page size seems to
change from A1 landscape to portrait, and then to A4. Is there somewhere
in Adobe where I can set a custom page size at A1and other large format
pages?
In the past I have been saving the layout window as a JPEG and then
opening the JPEG with adobe and saving as a PDF, but this is a long way
around and I know that I should be able to print the layout directly as
a PDF.
What conversion settings should I use??
I am using MI V7.0 with Encom Discover 5.0
Any (helpful) advise on this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard Hill
