Malcolm
just about to reply when martin stepped in with teh answer.. the only extra
point i'd add is >>>

check that mapinfo is 'working ' in the projection of your grid

ie in the mapbasic window type set coordsys table your_grid_table_namehere

bear in mind that Martins solution returns values from minimum bounding
rectangle for the grid object. if you have bent/ skewed or 'edited' the
grid, the values of the grid corners may not correllate exactly with the the
MBR...

Subject: MI-L extracting grid coordinates

Hi,
can some one tell me how I can extract the four corner x/y coords
for regions created using MapInfo's Grid maker. I have been trying to do
this through the update column routine in MapInfo, but am beginning the
think that I might need to write a bit of MapBasic code instead

We need the coord so that raster images can be registered in another web
based application.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Malcolm Norman
