A computer was 'upgraded' from WIN 98 to WIN XP. While on WIN 98, MI Pro (7.0) was installed and run successfully. However, after the upgrade, we could not install MI Pro. The message received was: Error 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime I have scoured the Internet (and Tech Support) for solutions, and the list is long and varied - some beyond my computer ken. None of them apply DIRECTLY to a MapInfo installation. I tried the 'easy' options (like downloading msiexec.exe, or changing the screen resolution) but nothing helped. Has anyone actually encountered the same problem (MapInfo install) and overcome it? Please inform me how! TIA to all responders. Alex Eshed Opisoft Ltd Israel
