Hi Colin,

Make you map the active window, open the MapBasic window and enter the following 
followed by hitting the ENTER button:

Set Window FrontWindow() Width 12 Units "cm" Height 12 Units "cm"


And you can of course enter any desired size, but be aware that windows only supports 
(or used to support ??) window size up to approx. 30 cm.
If you are still using an ancient measuring system in stead of the metric then you can 
specify "in" for inch. ;-)
