Venezuela Prov. South American 1956 uses the International 1924 spheroid. Applicable grids are UTM, Venezuela TM, Puerto La Cruz Polyhedric, Lake Maracaibo Lambert, Loma Quintana Lambert, Venezuela Compensated Secant Conic. For Venezuela, the origin point is La Canoa, with coordinates N 8 34 17.17 and W 63 51 34.88 The datum shift parameters from WGS84 to Local are: DX = 295 DY = -173 DZ = 371 The spheroid constant for International 1924 are Semi major axis = 6378388.000 and inverse flattening = 297 If you want to go the TM route, then for the International Spheroid 1924, the origin latitude is N 9 45 02.000 (no ref. longitude). The false origin of easting is 200000.000 and northing is 200000.000 with a scale factor of 0.9996 That should keep you busy this evening!
