Todd, the white edge is a one cell 'bounding box' that VM makes by default, as far as i know its not 'removeable' and is THE annoying feature of Vertical mapper (imho), especially if you are building models in tiles and then trying to display tiles 'side by side'... you can try splicing your tile together (be careful what you select as the 'rules' for splicing... Merge and average should be ok bt check you dont get edge-matching effects..i nearly always do....).. or you can 'cheat' and set the whitespace to transparent using the style override function in the map window...(thereby rendering your grids virtually unprintable on a postscript plotter (ime)...
trimming doesnt help, either within VM or by export-trim-reimport from other software....so if Mapinfo are watching this thread and are prepared to do some development...please dump the null box..;-) R -----Original Message----- From: Keller, Todd [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 17 February 2004 20:53 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MI-L Veritical Mapper question Hello, I have a technical question about Vertical Mapper. I've created several grids using the region-to-grid tool. There is a white box around all of the grids. The box seems to be similar to a "minimum bounding rectangle". I need to get rid of these white boxes so I can show 2 or more adjacent grids without any overlap from the white boxes. I tried to trim the white box off (using the trimming tool) using a tab file of the same shape as the original region used to create the grid but that did NOT get rid of the white box. It seems that the software doesn't consider the white boxes to be part of the grid. Does anyone know if there a way to get rid of the white bounding box? Thanks. T.
