Dear List, We currently have a need to fix the alignment between a zoning layer and a parcel layer or a street centerline layer. The idea is that zoning layer nodes should often follow centerlines of streets or parcels boundaries but are often drawn by different groups or to different bases and are not coincident. It is being pushed at us that "the e company" has the ability to "match topology" between different layers in their "GIS" product. We have done similar things with utility mapping in the past, (make sewer lines actually connect to the manholes and know the "to an from" designations of the pipes) but have not done the more complicated process of polygons on polygons.
Has anyone created a tool to do this, I hate to reinvent the wheel, again. TIA Jim- James C.
