Let say you want to click on a region like a Country from a world Map and that will
open a workspace that has the proper set of files when you activate a hotlink from a
specific country...

Modify the table structure of that reference file (the world map) to add a column in
character format. Edit the table to add the path where are the workspaces on your
system for every country that you want to open a subset of maps.

Just activate the hotlink feature on that column and voila!

But, it will keep the existing world map and open the country workspace.

If you want to close your reference file (world maps) when you open the new set of
maps, just add the following line (with any text editor) at the start of the workspace
you are opening:

Close All

That will close all the opened maps and then open the rest of the maps called from the
workspace

Subject: MI-L Hotlink to Mapinfo objects

Hello, all:

I understand through hotlink I can be connected with
lots of external objects (i.e. PDFs, Image, URL), but
what about the internal objects resides inside mapinfo
itself? For example, I would like to activate another
map or table brower when I click the hotlink.

Thanks for your help.
