Lutz, well my answer incorporates the answer to your previous query..
by using an inifile you can write a tool to create a simple 'workspace' as a set of ini instructions, you then write a partner tool to read the ini instructions to replicate the workspace but with extra error trapping to allow for broken files. in teh ini file you can store layer name, layer path,, style overrides, window settings etc, but storing queries and thematics is much more problematic and customised labelling is a nightmare.(i know i have tried it) there are 3rd party 'workspace' tools out there... r -----Original Message----- From: Lutz Hogen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 23 March 2004 13:49 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MI-L Question Hi, the problem: "workspaces" MapInfo-Worspaces are a good solution to manage and set tables. The problem is that always all tables have to exist. If only one table is missing the workspace doesn`t open. My question: Does any solution exist, managing a lot of tables, but without the problem that all tables have to be there. Has anyone an answer to this problem. I would be very happy! Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
