not sure i'm getting the gist here, but lack of understanding has never stopped me from imposing my opinion. :)
i indeed put all of my data into a single table if it's of the same format. i have like 5,000 locations in a format of like TYPE;NAME;MEMO;X;Y... and then a related table which defines TYPE. same with roads. i think you need to specify more of the problem, as if the data is in the same format, i don't see a problem with dumping it all into 1 table. perhaps create a new field in the table which specifies STATE, just to make it simple for querying out the data you want. -----Original Message----- From: Bagwell, Ross [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 26 March 2004 5:47 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MI-L re: MapInfo/Microsoft Access Listers, Is there a way to store all of a particular feature type information in one table rather than in multiple tables? For example, let's say I have road networks for 5 different states. Right now, I have each of the 5 different networks as separate layers (separate tables), with the data stored within a Microsoft Access database. Is there a way to arrange it in MapInfo to store all of the information in one table? Thank you! Ross E.
