Hello Colin,

you an try to import grid into VM through Surfer ASCII file (before export to ASCII grid file you have to flip a grid file!!!). But you have to edit grid header manually. Another possibility is to export your data into XYZ.dat file and import it through "Grid tools" which is a part of MI.

Alternative method is to used "Grid Analyser" (or another program for instance MapCalc, ..) which is able to import both ASCII and binary Surfer grid format as well. The 15 day's TRIAL version of GA an be downloaded from http://www.terris.sk.

Best regards
Stefan Majtan

I've done this before and forgotten my process to do so; I have a
collection of Geosoft/Oasis grids produced by the USGS that I'd like to
import into Vertical Mapper. Oasis can produce the following formats:

.bil
Zmap .data
Surfer .grd
Geotiff (doesn't work with any of my software)

Anybody have some ideas?
