Hi Tim,

Depending on your accuracy needs, you may achive some leeway by utilizing a
stereographic projection (projection = 20) in an mbx.

In effect, it flattens the Earth around a chosen point, making simple flat
geometry possible. I've used this method to plot great circles without
having to resort to complex formulas.
