You can call this button from MapBasic: Run Menu Command M_QUERY_INVERTSELECT
Just remember that you'll have to have this menu in the MapInfo userinterface when using it. If you are not sure then you could create a dummy menu containing this menu item, without showing the menu: Create Menu "DummyMenu" As "&Invert Selection" HelpMsg "Invert currently selected objects/rows from a Map/Layout window or Browser." calling 311 But do remember that you cann only use these "new" tools in a version of MapInfo that is the same or older, than where the tools were added to MapInfo.
