You can call this button from MapBasic:

Run Menu Command M_QUERY_INVERTSELECT

Just remember that you'll have to have this menu in the MapInfo userinterface when
using it.

If you are not sure then you could create a dummy menu containing this menu item,
without showing the menu:

Create Menu "DummyMenu" As
  "&Invert Selection"
   HelpMsg "Invert currently selected objects/rows from a Map/Layout window or
Browser."
   calling 311

But do remember that you cann only use these "new" tools in a version of MapInfo that
is the same or older, than where the tools were added to MapInfo.

Subject: MI-L Invert selection

Hi all,

Probably a question that has been asked 1000 times before but does anyone know if it
is possible to do an "invert selection" on a table in MapBasic. In MapInfo there is a
menu-button to do this but I can't find anything about it in the MapBasic Help

thanks on forehand
kind regards tamar
