Hi, Does anyone have suggestions as to how one might convert the U.S.G.S "Urban Areas High Resolution Orthoimagery" product to a format that has a height associated with each pixel? In particular, I was hoping that someone might be able to recommend a textbook or documents (along with software tools) that would allow one to perform a conversion to a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and Land Use Cover (LUC) files? I was considering the possibility of using the method described for converting Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images to a DEM (http://www.asf.alaska.edu/apd/software/tutorial/dem_generation.htmlbut) did not know how USGS acquired their base data for the High Resolution Orthoimagery files and whether there were two files required to perform the conversion. Best regards,
