Hi Daniel,

There's no such thing as a "current workspace" in MapInfo.

A workspace file is in fact a macro, consisting of a number of (MapBasic) commands to
reproduce a certain state of tables, windows
and settings.

Hence the "missing" features in MapBasic. You didn't miss it, it's simply not there.

Subject: MI-L Get Current Workspace

Is it possible to get the current workspace (filename and path) with a MapBasic
Command? I looked through the MapBasic Reference
guide, but I can't find anything. The closest I can get is the ProgramDirectory$()
command.

What about the WindowInfo() command? Can that be used? Can anyone provide an example
format for WindowInfo()?  I've tried
WindowInfo(0, WIN_INFO_WORKSPACE), but there seems to be a problem with my "Include
"MAPBASIC.DEF"" command.

Thanks for the help.

Daniel Ems
