Morning Sarah,

You could query the text without the space into a new column but by far the
easiest way is to use the search and replace tool to search for a space and
then replace with nothing...(I'd create a copy of the column to work on
though, so that you have a column with spaces and one without.)

The tool is shipped with MapInfo but it's a MapBasic program called
SRCHREPL.MBX, you can switch it on through Tools> Tool Manager, but you may
have to launch it separately. If so select Tools> Run MapBasic Program> ,
then navigate to your Tools directory. If you can't find it I'd be happy to
send it your way. Good luck.

Dave

Subject: MI-L Postcodes

Hello,

I have a table of postcodes (over 200,000), and for querying purposes I need
to remove all spaces from the text, e.g. E1 0AA to look like E10AA. How do I
do this?!

Thanks in advance,
Sarah
