The answers to above are: No. Yes. Not so much as to make any
difference to MapInfo.

Just about everyone pointed out the document at
ftp://lareg.ensg.ign.fr/pub/itrf/WGS84.TXT. The only part I
understood was that at the 1-meter level there's no difference
between WGS84 and ITRF92.
