I have a table with about 10,000 unique names in Column 1, and I wish to update data in Column 2 from about 50 other tables. The common link is the names in Column 1. Using Update Column, the second update erases the data from the first update, and so on. It is not feasible to concatanate the tables, and I don't want to go through a multistep process in SQL for each table. dBase handles this type of job with ease--what is the easy solution in MapInfo?
