Hi Tim,

MapInfo can do this without MapBasic. If you under 'Preferences' choose 'Map Window'
you can choose to show coordinates in 3 different ways of which one is Degree,
minutes, seconds.

Subject: MI-L Getting access to mouse cursor movements as lat/lon coordinates for use
in mapbasic

It appears that mapbasic only has functions that return map lat/lon coordinates when
the user clicks on the map window.

I simply want to capture the continuously updated map cursor movements in lat/lon
degrees.decimal, convert them to degrees:minutes.decimal minutes and display them on
the status bar. Is there a map basic function that will allow this?

Thanks for any assistance.

Regards
