Ashish,

Save a copy of your table while specifying a new projection in the "Save Copy of Table As" dialog, in your case Longitude/Latitude. Then open the copied table and export it to MIF.

Dear All,

I am new to MapInfo. I will be very thankful I can get the solution to the following problem I have.
I have a table with objects as polylines. When I export the table in *.mif and *.mid format I get the following coordinate system
CoordSys Earth Projection 8, 97, "m", 139.833333333333, 36, 0.9999, 0, 0 Bounds (-12058.8, -55551.8) (-6724.2, -50986.7)

The Pline coordinates in the *.mif files is as per the above bounds (eg Pline 18 -6836.9 -51500.......)

However I want to convert the coordinate system to "CoordSys Earth Projection 1, 0" and I want data of Pline coordinates in the *.mif file as per latitude/longitude (eg Pline 18 139.4332323 36.970709)

I do the following changes but no use

Map>options>Projection>category >latitude/longitude

Map>options>Projection>category member>latitude/longitude(Tokyo).

I wish that someone of you can provide me the solution to my problem at its earliest.

Looking forward for a kind solution

with regards,

Ashish Bhaskar,
