Temporary Position: Might lead to further assignments outside of Indianapolis GIS SPECIALIST (Geographic Information Systems) Experience using GIS software (MapInfo or ESRI preferred). Ability to work without supervision, under stress and in austere, rapidly changing conditions. College a plus. Familiarity with any and/or all of the following is very beneficial: * Census demographics * GIS applications in environmental issues * Hydrology/hydrography * Meteorology * Emergency response (fire/police/ems) * GPS (Global Positioning Systems) * Database Management (spatial) Work schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8:00am - 6:00pm at first - proceeding to a M-F 8:30 - 5:00 schedule.
