This seems to be a favorite one on MapInfo - L so I'll just chime in and remind people that one solution is to not change anything in their workspaces and just change their directory preferences in Options. Preferences using the Directories dialog. The bottom pane is a list of directories that MapInfo Professional will search for tables RECURSIVELY when it does not find them in the specified path. So, you can add your new root location(s) to this path and then just open the workspaces without changing anything. If you wish you can save the workspaces immediately after opening them and the found location will be written instead of the old one.
