I am having troubles with trying to translate this new shapefile. Now I know that a shapefile consists of shp, shx and a dbf, but this one also has some files with the extensions sbn, ixs, and mxs. I noticed that it is missing an shx. I assume that the translator looks for the default files that compose a shapfile and then does its thing, but since it is missing the shx file the thing it does can't be done. Has anyone heard of some of those other file types? Might their be an shx file in disguise? Anyway around this? Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Alan
