If it's for the Internet, MapInfo only offers MapXtreme (or various packages with it included).
I recommend you look at Mapserver which is open source (and free of charge). It's available for Windows and supports TAB files natively. "GPS tracking" is not a question of which GIS to use, it's always implemented with a custom app. Basically it's just a number of coordinate pairs pulled from a database, and rendered on a map. How you populate the database with real-time GPS positions is an entirely different story. Find the Mapserver homepage here : http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/ Best regards/Med venlig hilsen Lars V. We know we can use MapXtreme but it's expensive for the budget we have. Anyone knows another possibility and has experience using it ? The application will have only 30 concurrent users and the technology can be .NET or another. I will appreciate a lot any help ! Thank you ! --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 12854
