PRESENTATIONS
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Regional Data Exchange
(RDX) 2004 Conference! Share your successes, research, theories and visions
for more effective and efficient regional data exchange with your colleagues
in other state/provincial, federal, academic and non-profit organizations.

The conference will include several breakout sessions with opportunities for
participants to present papers. You must submit online or by email a brief
description of your presentation proposal by August 16, 2004, to be
considered as a presenter. Presentations will be a maximum of 20 minutes in
length and will take place October 27-28. The Program Committee invites you
to submit abstracts for one or more of the following presentation
categories:
* Binational consistency in data acquisition analysis and availability
* Case Studies: Great Lakes environment and economy
* Data exchange, standards and policy issues
* Decision support systems
* Distributed IS/IT, web mapping applications/technologies
* Ecosystem monitoring and observing systems
* Federal, state and provincial web portals
* Regional education and information clearinghouses
TRAINING SEMINARS - October 26 (advance registration required) Series I,
8:30 a.m. - noon . Flash design and development . Solutions to web mapping
[1] . Wireless technologies . XML and metadata
Series II, 1 - 4:30 p.m.
. "Great Lakes Internet Backbone": Internet2 and E-learning . Solutions to
web mapping [2] . Web and video tele-conferencing . Internet security and
SPAM control
One seminar is $75 U.S. ($100 CA), or two for $125 U.S. ($165 CA). You may
select one seminar from each series.
REGISTRATION
The early registration fee is $150 U.S. now, or $200 U.S. starting September
01, 2004. Your registration fee covers all meeting materials, one reception,
one lunch and all breaks. Register online at

EXHIBITORS
Exhibiting is another great way to participate in RDX 2004! As an exhibitor,
you have a unique opportunity to market your products and services to a
captive audience that is looking at Internet-based and GIS technologies to
enhance data sharing. Spaces include booth materials, electrical and
Internet connections and at least two registration fees. Booth sizes start
