Turning off the hardware acceleration for the 3d window worked for me.

Try turning of harware acceleration on your video card or update to the latest 
drivers.  This happend to me and a driver update fixed the issue.

Hello List,

I've created a 3d map which I need to print this afternoon. The colours show fine on 
the 3d map window but if I stick it on a layout, the map is in greyscale. Also, if I 
save map window, print map window or any other option to print, it comes out greyscale.
I'm using 7.5 and this used to work fine on earlier versions. Any ideas?
