Hi Alan!
I think Christine knows that. I understood her question to be for a clever
tool too help weed your workspace from opened files which are not used in
mappers, browsers or selections. It can be files just opened to check their
contents, test cases and so on. Such files inevitably causes trouble later
on if the workspace cannot find them. And many users are unaware of the
fact that MI can have dozens of files open and still show nada on the
screen.
Many years ago, I suggested this enhancement to the author of Workspace
Control (4thbeach software) who agreed completely with me on the subject.
However, we are still waiting for the next version of Workspace Control.

Sure, go to file, close table. Choose the tables you want to close (use
control to select more than one that are not next to each other).
