Query out the records with the zero lat zero Long, make them editable in a
map window and under the edit menu choose "Clear Map Objects Only", this
will delete the spatial component of the record while leaving the attribute
data intact.

Subject: MI-L destroy points

List,
I would like to delete points in a table without actually deleting
records. The points were created based on lat long values. Some lat long
values were blank, and they were arbitrarily placed in the ocean. I
could just move the points from their arbitrary location to where I need
them and then update the lat long columns again, but it seems like there
is an easier way that I am not seeing. It seems simple, but I just can't
find it. I could probably start over with the table from its creation,
and then create only the selected points, but I wonder if there is a
tool or function.
Thanks,
Alan
