Dan

i have uploaded one of my old tools for doing this to the directionsmag website. Its
not polished and is fairly slow with big datasets (old code no whizzy 'function'
updates) , but should do as you need.

Subject: MI-L Grid squares from points

Hi list

I have a large amount of point data for which each point represents the
south western corner of 1 km grid square to which the information applies. I
don't have an understanding of MapBasic, so is there a way of easily
creating a 1 km grid from each point which has all the attributes of that
point?

Thanks

Dan Bowles
