I tried looking through the archives for an answer but got very confused: I have a TIF file with an associated TFW file and MapInfo 7.0. I thought that I should be able to open the TIF through Open File as a raster image and the projection would be automatically associated because of the TFW file. But this is not happening. MapInfo wants me to register the image using points. What am I doing wrong? (I had done this once before successfully a long time ago, but now it's not working.)
Any guidance would be appreciated.
