Hi John

Use the SQL functions SphericalArea(obj, "sq mi") or CartesianArea(obj, "sq
mi"). Change the "sq mi" to units you want for the area (i.e. square metres
- "sq m", or square kilometres - "sq km", etc.).

Subject: MI-L polygon Area

Hello,

Can someone remind me how to update a table so that I add a column
showing the areas of all the polygons in the table.

I know I add a column and click "update column" but what is the sql code
for an area??

Thanks A Million!,

- john
