Hi Belinda, The number can be done using the ROWID but as i don't know what you see as the right order I wouldn't know whether it actually fits your needs. What is the right order to you ? BTW, I made a small tool some years ago, that would help you run thru a list of records, selecting them and showing them in the map. So maybe this tool might make it faster for you to locate the polygons, validate their number and update the number ?? You'll find the tool on Directionmag.com (Appearently directionsmag.com is down right now, but try searching in the tools section for "RunThruList")
The polylines can easily be converted to polygons. Make the layer editable, select the polyline to convert and use the "Convert to Region" in the "Object" menu. If you need to combine two or more polylines before converting them you'll find a combine function in the "object" menu as well.
