Listers, I've been asked whether it's possible to create longitudinal sections in MapInfo, e.g. a section through the ground along a pipeline, the invert of which would also be shown. I think the answer is 'yes' but it's probably not the best tool for doing this sort of thing. I believe Vertical Mapper has some capability for this, but I'm not sure how good it would be. Could it be done in MI itself? I'm not sure how DTMs (DEMs?) can be used in MI, but I guess that they'll have a bearing on this? Is it possible to use the graphing capability of MI to display the long sections? I suspect the long section could be displayed but with limited annotation.
