Paul, Ensure that the table structure of the indiviual grave sites tables matches your Main Graves table. You can check and modify the columns of the individual grave sites table through "Table > Maintenance > Table Structure".
Have your Main Graves table layered with the individual grave site tables. Make your Main Grave layer editable through "Map > Layer Control". Highlight the grave sites from the individual grave sites layer that you want to "copy and paste" and choose "Edit > Copy" (alternatively "Ctrl+C"). Then choose "Edit > Paste" (alternatively "Ctrl+V"). This will copy the selected objects (individual grave sites) and paste them into the editable layer (Main Graves). Check your Browser Window of Main Graves and you will see the textual data has also been copied across. - Steve Chan On Mon, 15 Nov 2004 12:10:38 +1100, Paul Middleton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi all, > I have a main graves layer and a number of other grave site in other > individual layers which is being updated by other in the shire. > I'm after some code which will allow me to copy and paste individual layers > into the main graves layer. > Regards > Paul Middleton > GIS Manager > Eurobodalla Shire Council > PO Box 99, Moruya NSW, 2537 Australia > URL: http://www.esc.nsw.gov.au <http://www.esc.nsw.gov.au> > Phone (02) 44741270 > Fax (02) 44741234 > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Message number: 14022 > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 14023
