A while ago, I got the source code to GridTools.mbx from MapInfo, and made a couple of fixes to it. Andy Dressel (a co-founder of MapInfo) gave me permission to post that version on Directions Magazine's site, so if you want to see how to access the MIG API from MapBasic, get this version of GridTools at http://www.directionsmag.com/files/index.php/view/299.
