They are many ways to do it. You could use the tools coordinate extractor.

You could also make a copy of you table - create points using the create point
command in NAD83 and save a copy as and specify then to make the copy in NAD 27

BE CAREFUL. Whatever techniques you use, if you are from Canada, Mapinfo
doesn't support CANADIAN transformation between NAD27 and NAD83!!!

The transformation algorithm use is American, if you are transforming the data
from a Canadian region, your coordinate can be offset by 5-10-20 metres or even
more...

In Canada, the transformation has to be made using NTV2 reference grid files
and specific Canadian equations.

This has been an issue asked to MApinfo for years. They know about it but they
never fixed it

(I personally been requesting this before every upgrade since version 5. They
say they will consider it for every upgrade but did nothing so far...)

If you do have a point database to transform coordinates in Canada, I recommend
contacting any local GIS specialist or the Department Natural Resources. They
are utilities out there to do just that...

If you have maps objects, not just points like polygons, then you need a tool
like FME from Safe to make the transformations and you need to specify it to
use the NTV2 when transforming Canadian data. They are other issues to be
careful like if you have arcs but this is basic gis issues and won't too much
out of the subject...

Hope this help

Subject: MI-L Convert coordinate point to another projection.

Hi All,

I have one X and Y coordinate points (projection MTM NAD83 - Zone 9) in a
database access table. I want to convert that point to MTM NAD27 - Zone 9
projection. Can anyone show me step by step how to convert it using Mapinfo
application. Thank a lot.
