Hi Jon,

You'll just have to extract the raster file from the pdf. I don't know if
you can do this with Acrobat Reader but in the full version it's possible.
(My version is 5.05)

GoTo: Files->Export->Extract pictures as
Then choose your pict format.

If you've got a lot of pdfs then you can make a new pdf sequence:
GoTo: Files->Batch editing->Edit sequence
Then add a new sequence that extracts pictures a save them in your preferred
format. This is very easy to do ;-)

Then in MI you'll have to open the rasters and orientate them. No easy way.
I would like to have an option to move the raster around but this is not
implemented AFAIK.

Emne: MI-L PDF maps as background in MI Pro

Listers,

I have set of pdf documents containing maps that I want to use as background
in MapInfo Pro.
Any suggestions for a rapid way of doing this ?

- pdf -> raster (any) -> ' normal' registration procedure in MiPro ?
- convert apps ?
- other ways ?  "dirty tricks" ?
