Hi Peter, I haven't had a chance to play with 10g yet, but your problem may not be specific to that version.
In what order did you install the various software items? Any COM componentry (and there are elements in both the Oracle Client and MapInfo) has dependencies. For example, if you install MapInfo with Oracle OCI support *without* having the Oracle Client stuff installed, your MapInfo installation may not register all components correctly. Even if you install the Oracle client afterwards, this will not "refresh" the MapInfo installation. You may need to reinstall MapInfo once your Oracle Client is in place. My general approach is: - Clean machine - Oracle Client - Any other apps Hope this helps.
